Well here we are in Chiang Mai - what a contrast from Bangkok, much less crowded and busy - more laid back and chilled! We checked into the swankiest, sleekest hotel we've ever been in - very low lying and colonial situated by the river and five minutes from the Night Market. We had a look around then had something to eat at the Whole Earth Restaurant which was a wooden pavilion type building. I had prawns served in a coconut and Dad had seafood curry in a banana leaf bowl. We had a look around the Night Market and after some expert haggling made some key puchases. Now back in hotel and listening to the tropical downpour which has drowned out the noisy frogs. Tomorrow we are off to Wat Phra That situated on a hill 16km outside Chiang Mai. Saturday we are going to elephant reserve! Missing you all and wish you were here!
